It’s called the Church Extension Investment Incentive Program…
And here’s how it works:

We began implementing our Investment Incentive program a number of years ago. This program allows your congregation -which has already taken out a loan at a favorable rate of interest- to further reduce their loan costs with additional invesments from members of your congregation. You can reduce interest rates by .5% with 50% of the loan supported with member investments. Or, 100% of the loan value in supporting investment dollars will give your congregation a full 1% reduction in interest.

In addition to such a significant benefit to your congregation, the Investment Incentive Program assures an adequate supply of loan funds to meet the growing needs of borrowing congregations like yours.

Example:

Loan amount approved for your congregation: $1,000,000
Supporting investment requirement (25%) by end of construction: $250,000

Next level to reach the .5% rate reduction on the permanent loan: $500,000
To reach the 1.00% rate reduction, $1,000,000 in investments would be needed.

(Note: Building Fund monies are excluded from the total)
