In a nutshell a ‘personal brand’ is synonymous with a company’s reputation. It refers to the way other people see you. Are you an expert? Are you trustworthy? What do you represent? What do you stand for? What ideas and notions pop up as soon as someone hears your name?
What do you think of when you think of these brands? Oreos? Chips Ahoy? Ritz? Starbucks? Maxwell House? Of course you may first think of the product, but the underlying brand promise also should pop into your mind.
At Church Extension Fund we believe that our brand is our promise and the experience our investors and others have with CEF. As a ministry of the Michigan District-LCM we strive to be unique from other financial institutions. We don’t have to invent it or make it up. It already exists. So we continue to tell our story so that others can see our uniqueness and understand the quality that we bring to the mix. Over time, our story has been enriched and has changed. As we each tell the story, it will come to mean more and grow but it will be integrated into our way of being, a lens through which we make decisions and it will contain words to make sure our choices are aligned perfectly. IT IS SOMETHING WE LIVE, every day!
